I had a different kind of gig this weekend… live portrait painting!!! For about 4.5 hours, I painted around 20 paintings of wedding guests - 38 human figures altogether. Congratulations to Chelsea and Josh! It was an honor to help celebrate their wedding.

I was honored to win 1st place in the Joplin Regional Artists' Coalition Show, Good Things Come in Small Packages for my watercolor piece, "Entangled".

Also... some sushi, so it was a great night.

I was asked to be a juror for a juried show at Pittsburg State University. It was a difficult task! I have so much more appreciation for jurors now and the very difficult decision-making that is involved in jurying an art show.

Yesterday was a beautiful day at @pittsburgartwalk! A couple purchased a framed giclée print from me and then literally 15 or 20 minutes later, they came back to show me where they hung it up in their apartment!

Flush

Some things.

"I think that I cannot preserve my health and spirits, unless I spend four hours a day at least — and it is commonly more than that — sauntering through the woods and over the hills and fields, absolutely free from all worldly engagements."

Henry David Thoreau, "Walking"

Thank you to all who came to our artist talk panel today! It’s not too often someone hands me a microphone and asks me to speak into it.
