A color mixing exercise

This semester, I've been taking a portrait painting class at my alma mater. I wanted to take a class that was more enduring and substantive than a weekend or weeklong workshop. It's been a great way to refresh my oil painting knowledge and just experience being a student again, albeit with a different lens.

These are a few photos of my work in people's homes/offices that they have shared with me over the years. It's always a treat when people share photos like this with me. I love to see where originals and prints end up - the majority of the time it's a mystery once they leave my hands. It's a strange honor to create images that people live with and look at day after day.
