Plein air with my friend Mona. It was a VERY windy day, but we persevered.

Another great plein air day with friends! Mona and I even ran into our friend Allen, who helped us carry some gear.

My friend Mona, my husband Ryan, and I spent last Sunday plein air painting. It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend a morning. I love the calm of plein air.

I did a couple really quick plein air paintings yesterday, but the real beauty was this massive cloud formation that morphed from a mushroom cloud into what I'm convinced was a cloud UFO.

A wise painter once told me, "don't lose sight of the fact that you're pushing pigments around with a brush on a canvas," and I thought that was such good advice.
