But perhaps the ultimate of these thin places in the human condition are the experiences people are likely to have as they encounter suffering, joy, and mystery.”

A dream. I've been dreaming in oceans lately. Large bodies of water... massive bodies of water. Shorelines that are larger, longer, bluer, shimmering, and more pristine and encompassing than possible in the waking world.
