I have a piece of art (Wombniverse/The Red Sea) in this show in Boston put on by @massnow. Reception is next Tuesday.

I went on a 2 mile prairie hike in the 93-degree heat yesterday just to see if I was feeling fatigued from being in the house too long or because I'm in the process of recovering from Covid.

It was the Covid.

Saw some pretty things, though.

Worm Moon. I popped this baby into a frame yesterday. I think I'm officially ready for my show at Urban Art Gallery in August.

A few gouache paintings from yesterday and today. I bought a gouache set not long ago but hadn't opened it until now. It's been awhile since I've used gouache for anything other than tiny white details on ink paintings (stars, namely), but I really love using it. It's watercolor-like but with the ability to layer. I think it lends itself to making grays so well also.

They say you learn something from every painting... what I learned from this one is that if you leave watercolor masking fluid on a painting for two and a half years, don't expect it to come off... at all. I attempted to improvise with some white acrylic, but there you go... art tip of the day.
